Our Guardians of Nation!

Recent news reports have made headline throughout Malaysia. For those who follows the current affairs of the state, they might understand what is plaguing our judiciary. It was reported that a tape which links a senior prominent lawyer, Chief Justice and several other into a judiciary appointment scandal. Most of the mainstream medias have exercised caution in reporting the case. However, independent political websites and blogs have run extensive coverage on it. In this case, we may not know what happened in reality. The persons involved are not being defensive and have kept quiet throughout the case. If the tape was tampered or edited, they could sue the people invoveld in smearing their names and file some defamation suits. Well come on , those are the lawyers. DEfinitely it can be done but it is not being handled that way. Malaysia have always had the doctrine of separation of powers. Executive, legislature and judiciary should never be influencing each other. However Executive and legislature are not being run in that way. Those who sits in Executive are from Legislature. I cant see any separation there. Let us hope at least Judiciary have some independence at all and we will definitely know it by the outcome of this judiciary crisis.

* Final examination is coming up next week and i have not started to study yet. With six papers and in the middle of Deepavali, It is gonna be a tough time. I was wondering why exams are placed in between Deepavali? It is the major festival of the Indians and yet the people in charge of setting the exam date are so ignorant about it. Some of my frenz are having exams 1 day and after the deepavali which definitely means they cant go back home. It is a pity that festivals which should be a reunion venue for the relations have gone to this state due to the bad planning.

Hope..

When we enter a debate, there is always a side which is the opposition and another side which is the supporting group. This was to make sure a topic gets both its positive and negative views. But the same cannot be applied to the politics. Recent weeks had seen election in the campuses around Malaysia. The election is to make sure the students to come up with a council to air the student's welfare to the university administration. What I still cant seem to believe and understand is the level of politicking going on in the campus. Why we must have a anti and pro groups? Why cant we have just a single group? Why must the anti always oppose to whatever the pro does? And why must the pro do the same to the anti? Wont the anti do the same if they are at the pro side??

My sincere wish is to have an election with no ugly incidence. Higher education institutions were established to churn out graduates who will help build the nation. To fight around like politicans is not our style. Isnt it good to have students compete healthily? Isnt it nice to hear students making achievements in researches rather than actively involved in politicking? Let us all be together and earn good reputation for our university and for ourselves.

p/s: Please dont send any manifestos to my room for elections. It does make my room dirty.

State of "art"!!

Indians are rich with traditions. It has been passed since generations to generations through various ways. Historians have admitted our community had lived with highest civilisation even thousands of years ago. But why we Indians are in current state?? Is it because we are the minorities? Is it because we do not get government's help? Is it because our leaders do not contribute to us? Which party we should blame for our state?

Or should we blame any other person other than we ourselves???

Think.....

Think.....

Think.....

September 11

The dark memories of the idiocracy of the mankind,

Swallowing thousands of innocent lives,

armed with fanaticism and stupidity,

Millions of hopes shattered,

Fear and insecurity mushroomed,

Disaster incurred by difference in religion,

Unity as the consequences by the same difference,

Let us all pray for the souls of the deceased,

Let us all pray for the hopes of the survived,

Let us all pray for the gullibility of the ignorants,

Let us all pray....

With memories to the victims of September 11...

Blog is Back!

It is been a while since i last wrote anything in the blog be it in Friendster or my personal blog in blogspot. The reason was being unable to find a steady internet connection and constantly being "amazed" by the "superior" quality of the internet connection back in campus. It almost unbelieveable when the recent Budget 2008 announced primary schools will be equipped with broadband access. Tertiary education doesnt seems to have that good incentives.

Speaking about the budget, it was a "diabetic" lot as it was too sweet. All the primary and secondary school fees are literally abolished to give a 100% free education. Congrats to the government there. However, I was little vague about the abolishment. Were the overall school fees abolished or only the yuran persekolahan abolished?? If you went to any normal school, you will be required to pay yuran persekolahan amounting to few dollars. But the bulk that chalks up to hundreds is all the payment made to the school for library, computer and etc etc list. So the parents do still have to pay the fees right???

Is it then valid to label it 100% free education?? One has to imagine it.

I will update the blog as frequently as possible. To all the Muslim friends, happy fasting for the Ramadhan month which is coming up.

You On FiRe!!!

How often have u guys involved in a fire drill??? For those who is thinking about the screwdrivers and hardware related tools, please take a hard brick and break it with ur head..You should not be alive!! For those who don wanna do it but yet still ignorant, let me explain.Maybe after this u can take that brick and break other's head..(disclaimer: not my head though)

Fire drill is basically a module where actual fire incident are re- enacted. Everybody needs to know what to do and where to run in case there is a fire. The training conducted to make us familiarise with the routes of escape is known as fire drill. I can see some grin on those ignorant faces..Fellas..Although now you know what is it, but nobody is gonna do it anyway..Take for example; this morning when i was in aerodynamic lecture, fire drill alarm went off. It woke some of my classmates who were sleeping in the lecture room..yeah we do take some naps during the classes..Sometimes i come out of the class and check my friendster to reply messages..classes are never my thing anyway..Lets get back to our main story..So this alarm went off..All of us were like "Is our fac burning??".Then went back looking at our whiteboard and listening to the lecture..

However my mind was not focusing on the lecture this morning..Anyway it never focuses on anything every other days..:p How to differentiate between a real fire alarm and a fire drill alarm. From what i have seen is, whenever the alarm goes off, we automatically convince our mind that it is a fire drill and thus continue the work which were under way previously..Most of us went back to sleep in the class..Mind You..class was at 8am!!

What if there was a real fire and the alarm goes off but we just ignore it by thinking it is a fire drill?????  Now that is scary.. Is having repetitive fire drill is good or bad for us?? By doing it, we get bored very often cos our work gets stalled each time we run out to practise the fire drill. By not doing it, we wont know what to do in case there is a fire..ermm..what should we do ar??

Solution: Go make yourself a tea and put on some nice movies and think about this issue some other time!! We should retain our famous Malaysian Tradition-procrastination!!!

p/s: Procrastination means an act of putting off something to future..means last minute work ler..Those who went blur seeing this word, feel proud about it..cos u never realise what was  the word of the act that you do so often!!!

BACK!

hey there frenz. Previously i had a friendster account and due some circumstances i had to delete the account. However i recreated my account after some time and im trying to reach out to all my existing frenz and new found frenz. A lot of things had happened since the last post i wrote in my friendster blog. However i still did the blogging via my blogger site (http://www.soulpeacer.blogspot.com). Sadly speaking i did not had enough time to keep updating my blog. Therefore some of the issues may seem redundant now. Anyhow i will try my best to update the blogs as i think blogging should be a pleasure and not a necessity..

see ya guys around anytime soon then!tc
